Someone could be clocking your speed in Cornwall today

Drive through your village this Wednesday and a local volunteer could be watching how fast you go. Today is National Community Speedwatch day, and teams across the county are heading out to keep an eye on the traffic passing through their streets.

What’s happening on Cornwall’s roads today

Vision Zero South West is asking groups across England to go out on Wednesday July 15th, watching traffic to raise awareness and help bring down speeding in their communities. Many teams already take part, so the day is being used to encourage more people to get involved and make a difference where they live.

The idea is a straightforward one. If you’re tired of watching cars race through your street, Community Speedwatch gives you a way to do something about it alongside your neighbours.
