Cornwall hospital charity lottery launches with £25k top prize

A pound a week, a shot at £25,000, and money going towards hospital care in Cornwall at the same time. That is the offer behind a new weekly lottery being launched by Royal Cornwall Hospitals Charity, giving supporters the chance to win big while backing patients, staff and services across the county.

How the weekly lottery works

Tickets cost just £1 per draw, making it a simple and affordable way for the community to give back. Players can win up to £25,000, and every ticket bought helps generate reliable, long-term funding for the areas of greatest need across Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust (RCHT).

The first draw takes place in August, so there is plenty of time to sign up and get involved before it goes live.

Where the money goes

Kim O’Keeffe, Acting Chief Executive Officer at Royal Cornwall Hospitals Charity, said: “This lottery is a fantastic opportunity for our community to come together, have a bit of fun, and make a meaningful difference at the same time. Every ticket sold helps us continue our work supporting patients and staff across Cornwall.

“From enhancing patient care and comfort to supporting staff wellbeing and vital services, funds raised through the lottery will have a direct and lasting impact where it matters most.”

To mark the launch, the charity has released a short video showing how the lottery will support care in Cornwall.
