Warm and dry weekend for Cornwall before the heat builds next week
If you have been eyeing the garden, the coast or the barbecue, the timing looks kind. The latest forecast for the South West points to a bright, warm weekend across Cornwall, and the warmth is set to hang around well into the working week.

Saturday: sunshine and up to 25°C
Saturday opens bright, with plenty of sunshine to start the day. Cloud builds further east as the hours go on, but warm, sunny spells keep going. It stays largely dry, with only a small chance of a few showers in the east during the afternoon. The top temperature is around 25°C.
The evening ends warm too, with some late sunshine before the light goes. Overnight stays dry, clear at first and turning cloudier later, and it turns into a cool night for many. The low sits at about 12°C.
Sunday: a touch warmer, a few showers around
Sunday begins cloudy for many, then turns sunny in the east fairly quickly. Cloud is more stubborn across parts of Devon and Cornwall, where a few showers are possible. Despite that, it edges a degree warmer than Saturday, with highs near 26°C.
The week ahead
Monday through to Wednesday stays largely dry, with sunny spells and varying amounts of cloud. A few spots of rain are possible at times where the cloud thickens up. In the sunshine, it turns very warm.
