Cornwall in for a warm, dry week as temperatures climb to 26°C

If you have been waiting for a proper stretch of settled summer weather, this is your week. The latest South West forecast points to dry, warm conditions across Cornwall from Monday through to Friday, with plenty of sunshine and only light winds to speak of.

Monday and Tuesday: the warmest of the week

Early mist and fog on Monday morning clears quickly to leave a fine day with patchy cloud and light winds. It will feel warm or very warm in the sunshine, with a high of 25°C.

The evening stays dry and fine with plenty of sunshine, and the dry theme holds overnight under clear spells and some patchy cloud. The overnight low is around 10°C.

Tuesday carries on largely fine, dry and settled, though skies turn a little hazy at times. It still feels rather warm, with temperatures reaching 26°C.

Wednesday to Friday: dry with the odd shower

The back half of the week stays largely dry with variable amounts of cloud and sunny spells. A few showers are possible where the cloud thickens. Temperatures sit around or just above average.

What to expect this week

Light winds, warm sunshine and dry days are the pattern for most of the week. If you are planning time on the coast or in the garden, the two things to keep half an eye on are the early morning mist and fog and the chance of a passing shower midweek where the cloud builds.
