New letting platform Redpoll wants Cornwall’s holiday homes

A new holiday lettings business has set its sights on Cornwall, inviting owners of cottages, lodges, holiday homes and caravans across the county to list with a smaller, independent alternative to the big booking sites.

Redpoll Holiday Lettings launched from Portishead in North Somerset and is now actively looking to bring more Cornish properties onto its platform, pitching itself to owners who want a more personal service and a bigger share of their rental income.

Who is behind it

The family-run business was founded by South West couple Tracy and Dave Hurst. Both are holiday home owners themselves, and they say that experience is what prompted them to build something aimed at independent owners rather than another large listing site.

Every property is individually verified before it goes live, which the founders say gives guests confidence when booking and gives owners a platform they can reach real people at when they need support.

How the pricing works

Owners can pick between two models. An annual subscription lets them keep 100% of their booking income, or they can opt for a commission-based arrangement instead, depending on how they prefer to let the property.

To mark the launch, Redpoll is offering 25% off annual subscription packages for new owners who sign up before 31 October 2026.

What the founders say

Tracy Hurst, co-founder of Redpoll Holiday Lettings, said the business is drawing on the couple’s roots in Portishead while bringing what she described as a fresh approach built on personal relationships and straightforward pricing.

“We wanted to build something different. Redpoll Holiday Lettings is independent, family-run and built around personal service. We take the time to get to know every property and every owner, because no two holiday homes are the same.”

She said the aim, whether an owner has a coastal cottage, a countryside lodge or a family caravan, is to help them attract more bookings and keep more of their income, with real people on hand when needed.

“Cornwall is one of the UK’s iconic holiday destinations. We know travellers value quality accommodation and owners value good service, and that’s exactly where we believe Redpoll can make a difference.”

Alongside Cornwall, the business is welcoming properties from other staycation areas including Devon, Dorset, East Sussex, West Wales and the wider South West.
