Cornwall weather: Friday 24 July, warm sunshine and 27°C
If you have been putting off the beach trip, today is the day to go. Cornwall sits under warm sunshine again to close the working week, but the settled spell has a shelf life, and by the weekend the first splashes of rain start creeping in from the northwest. Here is how the next few days shape up across the region.
The forecast covers South West England, so the figures below apply to Cornwall as part of that wider picture rather than to any one town.

Today
Any patches of low cloud and early fog clear away quickly to leave a dry day across the region. There are some decent spells of sunshine to enjoy, and with only light winds it feels very warm through the afternoon. The temperature climbs to a maximum of 27°C.
Tonight
The dry theme holds into the evening with long clear periods overhead. Patches of cloud drift down from the north overnight, though it stays dry, and it remains quite warm for the time of year. The temperature dips no lower than 13°C.
Saturday
Another largely fine day is on the cards, with warm sunshine developing through the morning. Cloud builds in from the northwest later on, however, and that brings some patchy light rain into the mix. The maximum temperature eases back a touch to 25°C.

Sunday to Tuesday
Sunday turns fresher and stays breezy, mixing sunshine with a few light showers. The start of next week is mostly dry with some sunny spells, and the best of the brightness looks set to favour the east.
