Dogs welcome aboard the trains at Lappa Valley
There is a theory doing the rounds at Lappa Valley, and it goes like this: dogs might be closet train spotters. The ears go up at the sound of a whistle. The nose starts working overtime the moment steam drifts across the platform. And the tail? Well, the tail gives the game away as soon as a train rolls in.

The whole family, four legs included
Lappa Valley has decided that dogs are family, and family should not be left at home while everyone else has the fun. Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome on the railways, inside The Engine Shed Café and along the Woodland Walk. They are even allowed on the Pedalo Swans, if you and your dog are both feeling brave about it.
Treats, bowls and somewhere to run
The site is set up with dogs in mind. There are water bowls dotted around, a complimentary biscuit handed over on arrival and Doggy Ice Cream available from The Crib. During the main season there is also a dedicated dog exercise field, so your dog can let off steam in the more literal sense before getting back on board.
Two things dogs will have to sit out
There are only a couple of places dogs cannot follow you. The soft play is off limits, and so are the trampolines. Lappa Valley reckons a fair few dogs would happily give both a try if the rules ever changed.
All paws aboard. You can plan a visit over at the Lappa Valley website.
