Pensioner knocked down helping teenager in Gwithian attack
An 81-year-old woman who stepped in to help a teenager being beaten in a Gwithian car park was knocked to the ground for her trouble. Officers now want to hear from anyone who saw what happened.

What police say happened
The incident took place on Friday, 24 July at around 7.45pm at Gwithian Towans Car Park.
A 14-year-old local boy is reported to have been attacked by a group of three boys. He was left with injuries including chipped teeth and swelling to his head.
An 81-year-old local woman was walking through the car park and saw the attack. When she tried to come to the boy’s aid, she was knocked to the ground. She sustained minor injuries.
