Penryn social media agency shortlisted twice at national awards
A small team working out of Penryn is about to find out how it measures up against the best social media specialists in the UK and Europe. The specialist paid social agency Oh So Social has been named a finalist in two separate categories at a national awards programme, putting a Cornish studio on the same shortlist as agencies many times its size.

Two shortlists, one Cornish studio
Oh So Social is a finalist for Boutique or Independent Agency at the SocialDay Social Media Marketing Awards, a national programme that celebrates the best social media work across the UK and Europe. The category exists to champion the specialist studios and independently owned agencies proving that smaller can mean stronger results, more creativity and closer client relationships.
The second nomination is a personal one. Oh So Social founder and director Katherine George has been named a finalist for Industry Educator, a category that recognises the people who educate, mentor, advocate or build communities to raise the standard for everyone working in social media.
A voice for the industry
For Katherine, being recognised as an educator sits alongside the results the agency delivers for its clients.
“It is an honour to be recognised on a national level within the industry, not only for the results we achieve as a small agency specialising in paid social, but also as a voice within the social media industry sharing my expertise and knowledge, to help everyone to benefit from honest, expert social media advice,” said Katherine.
Inside Oh So Social
The Penryn agency describes itself as a multi-award-winning specialist social media outfit, offering content creation, social media management, community management and paid social to businesses across the UK and internationally. It is a media partner with Meta, TikTok and Pinterest.
Katherine George is one of a small number of Meta Blueprint Lead Trainers in Europe, and works as a speaker for small business events, SME conferences and entrepreneurship programmes. Now she has the two finalist places to add to that.
The awards ceremony takes place in London during October, when the winners in both categories will be announced.
