The Cornish Company unveils bold rebrand and first TV advert
Six years ago, two brothers were packing gift boxes on their kitchen table. This week, the business they built is putting a new face on Cornwall itself, and preparing for its first appearance on national television.
The Cornish Company, one of the UK’s fastest-growing e-commerce food gifting brands, has unveiled a major strategic rebrand as it moves into its next phase of expansion. The company describes the new identity as the start of “A Delicious Rebellion”, a bolder and more contemporary take on how Cornwall is presented.
The refreshed look launches across the company’s online shop, packaging and marketing channels from today, 10 August 2026. It arrives with the ambition of turning The Cornish Company into one of the UK’s leading premium food gifting brands.

From a family kitchen to a million hampers
The Cornish Company was founded in 2020 by Cornish brothers Tom and James Woodley, who started out in their family kitchen. The growing food gifting business moved into its first dedicated warehouse in Indian Queens in 2021, dispatched its 100,000th hamper and won the Cornwall Business People’s Choice Award in 2022, and by 2025 had delivered its one millionth hamper to customers across the UK.
The company now employs a team of 20 and says the new identity is designed to strengthen its national presence and support its long-term commercial plans.
Tom Woodley, Managing Director and Co-founder, said the brand had outgrown its original look. “When we started The Cornish Company, our priority was creating great gifting experiences using the very best Cornish produce. As the business has grown, we realised our brand no longer reflected the quality of our products or the ambition of where we’re heading,” he said. “This rebrand is about building a distinctive, long-term brand that celebrates Cornwall in a more confident, memorable and modern way. While the look has changed, our commitment to championing Cornish producers and delivering exceptional gifting experiences remains the same.”
What ‘A Delicious Rebellion’ means
The new identity is built to stand out in a crowded food gifting market. It moves away from the fine china and picture postcard conventions traditionally tied to afternoon tea, and reaches instead for something more authentic, vibrant and down-to-earth. Packaging carries lines like “Cream on Top”, “Risk it for a Biscuit” and “Aged to Perfection”, with a smuggler’s seagull crest and the tagline “Smuggling Cornwall’s Finest”.
James Woodley, Co-founder and Operations Director, said reaching a million hampers had prompted the brothers to think about what came next. “Delivering our one millionth hamper was a huge milestone, but it also prompted us to ask what should come next,” he said. “We started in our family kitchen with a simple goal: to make food gifts that are fun, authentic, and made by real people. This rebrand gives us the platform to bring our love of real Cornish food to a much wider national audience, while remaining true to the local team, suppliers and community that have helped us reach this point.”
Same producers, new look
While the branding has changed, the company says customers will get the same trusted quality and locally sourced produce. The Cornish Company remains committed to working exclusively with Cornish producers, including Rodda’s, St Austell’s Brewery, Furniss and The Cornish Tea.
It is a point the founders are keen to make as the business scales up. The family firm holds a 4.9 star Trustpilot rating and is behind the county’s high-quality hampers and its “pasty by post” service, always jam first and, in its own words, with a sprinkle of mischief and a lot of heart.

A national TV debut
The rebrand is one of the more visible moves yet from a Cornish food gifting business, and it is being backed by wider investment across the company. That includes The Cornish Company’s first national television advertising campaign, which is set to air on ITV in September.
For a business that began at a kitchen table in 2020, an ITV slot is a long way from packing the first few orders by hand.
