Newquay Sessions closes with People’s Playlist at the Killacourt
Six acts, eight hours, and a running order picked by the people who’ll actually be standing in front of the stage. That’s the closing act for this year’s Newquay Sessions, and for once the town gets to choose the setlist.

A free, community-picked finale on the Killacourt
Newquay Town Council‘s Newquay Sessions series comes to a close on Saturday 22 August, with a full day of free live music on the Killacourt. The event runs from 12pm to 8pm and takes on a special theme for its final outing, the “People’s Playlist”, built around artists chosen by the local community.
There’s a bar on site and plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the music, rounding off the summer series in the same relaxed, family-friendly style it’s kept all year.
Who’s on the bill
The line-up mixes returning favourites with a late change. Joe Hurworth, COLOUR – The Band, C Bone and Still Dizzy all take turns on the Killacourt stage through the afternoon and evening, and Tooth Gore joins as a new act, replacing the previously advertised Amy Todd.
The published running order for the day is:
- 12:00 to 13:00: Tooth Gore (new act)
- 13:15 to 14:15: Joe Hurworth
- 14:30 to 15:30: COLOUR – The Band
- 16:00 to 17:30: C Bone
- 18:00 to 20:00: Still Dizzy
The rest of Newquay’s events calendar
While this marks the last Newquay Sessions date of the year on the Killacourt, there’s plenty still to come, including the Summer Finale, the Remembrance Parade and Newquay at Christmas. Full details on those and the rest of the town’s events are on Newquay Town Council’s events page.
