Why the orders were granted
Penzance Neighbourhood Policing Team, working alongside partner agencies, has obtained three-month Closure Orders on two properties in the town following ongoing reports of anti-social behaviour linked to the two addresses.
The action followed continued incidents that caused significant disruption and distress to local residents. A Closure Order does exactly what the name suggests. It bars unauthorised access to a property for a set period, cutting off the address as a source of further disorder while it is in force.
The public’s part in it
Police say the two orders would not have happened without residents coming forward. “We would like to thank those who reported concerns and supported the investigation,” the force said. “Information from the public plays a vital role in helping us tackle anti-social behaviour and make our neighbourhoods safer.”
Anyone experiencing or witnessing anti-social behaviour in their area is asked to keep reporting it.
“Working together to keep our communities safe.”
