Launceston police van visits North Hill, Petherwin

There is no blue light and no siren involved this time. On Wednesday 3 September, the Launceston Neighbourhood Policing Team is loading up its community van and driving out to four different spots across the patch, with nothing on the agenda except a chat.

The van will make four stops through the day, each with its own half-hour or hour-long window for anyone who wants to raise a concern, ask a question, or just say hello to their local officers and PCSOs.

North Hill

10:00am to 10:30am, North Hill Village Hall Car Park

First stop of the day is the village hall car park in North Hill, where the team will be parked up for half an hour before moving on.

South Petherwin

11:00am to 11:30am, next to the bus stop, opposite the Village Pump

From North Hill the van heads to South Petherwin, setting up next to the bus stop opposite the Village Pump for a second half-hour slot.

Lawhitton

12:00pm to 12:30pm, Lawhitton Village Hall Car Park

Midday brings the van to Lawhitton, parked at the village hall car park for another thirty minutes.

Launceston Town Square

1:00pm to 2:00pm, Launceston Town Square

The day finishes with the longest stop, a full hour in Launceston Town Square from 1pm, giving people in the town itself the widest window to catch the team.

Whether it is crime prevention advice, a concern about something happening locally, or nothing more than a wave through the window, the team says it would love to see people at any of the four locations.
