Where Devon and Cornwall’s speed cameras are this week

If you’re driving anywhere in Cornwall this week, there’s a decent chance a speed detection officer is somewhere on your route. Devon & Cornwall Police Road Safety Team has published where its officers will be concentrating their efforts each day, and between Monday and Sunday the list touches nearly every part of the county.

Where officers are out, day by day

For the week commencing Monday 7 September, the areas are:

• Monday: Mid Cornwall, Plymouth, East Devon, North Devon, South Devon
• Tuesday: East Cornwall, Plymouth, West Devon, Exeter, North Devon, South Devon
• Wednesday: West Cornwall, Mid Cornwall, East Cornwall, East Devon, Mid Devon
• Thursday: Mid Cornwall, West Cornwall, East Cornwall, Exeter, West Devon
• Friday: West Cornwall, Mid Cornwall, North Devon, Teignbridge, South Devon
• Saturday: North Devon, South Hams, Teignbridge
• Sunday: South Devon

The Cornwall areas that come up most

Strip out the Devon legs of the patrol and a pattern emerges for Cornwall itself. Mid Cornwall gets attention four days running, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. West Cornwall is covered Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and East Cornwall on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. That leaves Saturday and Sunday as the only two days this week with no Cornwall area named on the list, though the schedule can shift.
