Police appeal after car break-in at North Cliffs near Camborne

If you drove along North Cliffs near Camborne last Friday evening, whatever your dashcam quietly recorded could turn out to matter a great deal.

What happened

Sometime between 6.40pm and 11.10pm on Friday 11 September, a window was smashed on a vehicle parked at North Cliffs. A phone, a wallet, bank cards and cash were stolen from inside.

Hayle and St Ives Police, who are investigating the theft, are appealing for anyone with information to come forward, including anyone who noticed something suspicious in the area during those hours.

What officers are asking for

The force is particularly keen to hear from drivers with relevant dash-cam footage covering the window in question. A theft from a vehicle like this often leaves no witnesses in the usual sense, just passing cars whose cameras happened to be running at the right moment.

Anyone who was driving through North Cliffs that Friday evening, whether or not they noticed anything at the time, is asked to check what their camera caught.
