Saltash stylist Emma Chowings left awards night with two trophies
Two glass trophies now sit on a shelf belonging to a freelance hair stylist who works across south east Cornwall. She says they remind her how far a decade in the trade has taken her.
Emma Chowings, who trades as Emma C Hairstylist, was named Most Talented Bridal Hair Stylist and Most Talented Hair Extensionist at the Cornwall Hair and Beauty Awards 2026.

A black tie night for Cornwall’s hair and beauty trade
The awards were a black tie evening of glitz and glam, held to highlight hair and beauty professionals across the region for their talent and dedication to the industry.
Emma has ten years of experience behind her and left with two accolades. Her work covers Saltash, Liskeard and Callington, and her bridal bookings take her across the wider region.
“My goal is to make my clients feel relaxed, confident and beautiful”
Emma said: “To win these awards was amazing. It shows how my dedication to the industry and technical skills have shone over the years, though the most important part is my goal is to always make my clients feel relaxed, confident and beautiful.”
She added: “I also ensure the morning runs smoothly and eliminate pre-wedding worries on their wedding day, or if it is for an everyday transformation, for women to feel the best they have ever been.”
Where Emma Chowings works
Alongside her bridal bookings, Emma does mobile and salon-based work at Bliss Hair and Beauty in Saltash and Indulgence Unisex Salon in Plympton.
She said that seeing the awards on her shelf is a powerful reminder of how far her career has come. And she thanked her loyal clients, friends and family, whose support she says fuels her ambition every day.
