Eight new holiday lodges near Gorran Haven open to first owners

From the fields above Gorran Haven, the view runs straight out to sea. Eight buyers now have the chance to make it the view from their own holiday lodge.

Family-owned South West Holiday Parks has launched Ocean Fields, a new holiday lodge development at Seaview Holiday Park in Boswinger, as part of a £2 million investment.

Eight lodge positions in the first phase

The first phase is being sold as The Founders’ Edition, the very first chance to own at Ocean Fields. Eight lodge positions are available, and reservations are now open.

Anyone interested can look round a Willerby Boston show lodge before choosing their own new lodge.

What the planning approval covers

Cornwall Council approved the plans with conditions on 29 May 2026, under planning application PA25/07756. The approval covers holiday lodges on an existing touring and camping area at Seaview, along with the infrastructure and landscaping that go with them.

The landscaping plans were revised after advice from the council’s forestry officer on planting and screening.

Josh Donald, Owner of South West Holiday Parks, said: “Seaview’s setting is what makes it special, and we’ve taken care over how Ocean Fields will fit into the landscape. We’ve listened to the advice on planting and screening because we want this development to feel at home in this part of Cornwall. As a family-owned business, we’re committed to the park and the area for the long term.”

What owners will get

Ocean Fields will sit within the established Seaview park, which holds a five-star VisitEngland rating and is open for holiday use all year round. Owners will be able to use its outdoor swimming pool, coffee lounge and gym.

The first owner lodges are due to be ready from Easter 2027.

The lodges are for holiday use only. They cannot be used as a permanent home or a main residence.

Visitors beyond the summer rush

The company hopes owners coming back for breaks through the seasons will spend time in Gorran Haven and the neighbouring communities, bringing potential trade to local shops, restaurants and attractions outside the busiest summer weeks.
