New Benches at Newquay Harbour, Funded by Newquay Regeneration Forum Limited
Newquay Harbour, a popular destination for both locals and visitors, has recently seen the addition of five new benches, enhancing the comfort and experience of all who frequent the picturesque location. Newquay Regeneration Forum Limited, in a generous act, funded these benches using the remainder of its community fund.
Kimberley Johnson, the Harbour Master of Newquay, expressed gratitude for the new amenities. She emphasised that the benches would encourage both community members and visitors to fully enjoy the scenic offerings of the harbour. The addition of these benches aligns with the ongoing efforts to make Newquay Harbour a more welcoming and comfortable place for everyone.
Loïc Rich, the Chairman of Cornwall Harbours’ Harbour Board, also shared his appreciation for the new additions. He lauded the Harbour Master, Kim, for her dedication and efforts in bringing about these and other improvements to the quay, highlighting the collaborative effort involved in enhancing the harbour’s facilities.
Andy Cole, the chair of Newquay Regeneration Forum, thanked Newquay Harbour for their support over the years.
The installation of these benches is more than a mere physical enhancement; it represents the spirit of community involvement and the shared goal of making Newquay Harbour a delightful spot for relaxation and enjoyment of the area’s natural beauty.
