Boardmasters 2025 Concludes After Five Days of Music and Surf in Cornwall
Five Days of Music, Waves and Coastal Magic
Boardmasters 2025 has wrapped up after five days of world-class live music and surf, set against the stunning backdrop of the Cornish coast. From surf heats at Fistral Beach to golden-hour anthems at Watergate Bay, tens of thousands of festival goers soaked up the sunshine and electric atmosphere that made this year’s event one to remember.
Music Highlights Across the Weekend
Friday saw Kaiser Chiefs bring anthemic indie-rock to their afternoon headline slot, leading the crowd in a sea of sing-alongs. The newly named Mordros stage hosted Polly Money and James Marriott, while late-night sets from Charlie Boon and Sim0ne kept the energy alive. Local rising stars KEO joined chart-toppers Leigh-Anne and Flo on the main stage, before The Wombats and headliner RAYE closed the night with a set filled with hits including Escapism, PRADA and Worth It.
Saturday’s blue skies welcomed Rizzle Kicks back to the stage after an eight-year hiatus, with classics including Down With The Trumpets. Nelly Furtado wowed the crowd with Promiscuous, Man Eater and Turn Off The Light, surprising fans with a duet of I’m Like A Bird alongside Katy B. Over on Mordros, Ocean Alley delivered dreamy grooves, and Mike Skinner’s DJ set kept the party going. As the sun dipped behind Watergate Bay, Central Cee delivered his first major festival headline set, performing Doja, Sprinter and Let Go.
The final day featured Natasha Bedingfield’s Pocket Full of Sunshine moment, along with Unwritten and These Words. Myles Smith, London Grammar, Wet Leg, Franz Ferdinand and HoneyLuv also took to the stages, before The Prodigy unleashed a high-energy finale that closed the festival in spectacular style.

More Than Just Music
Festival goers explored unique spaces including The View, The Keg & Pasty, Surf Club 81 and the Banzai Bar. Wellness sessions and yoga at Zennor Haven offered moments of calm before diving back into the action.
The Boardmasters Open surf competition at Fistral Beach showcased QS 2000 and LQS 1000 events for men and women, plus junior categories. Lukas Skinner secured a remarkable double podium in both the QS and Boys Juniors categories for the second consecutive year, following his historic 2024 win as the first British men’s champion in over two decades, made even more impressive after coming back from injury.
Other highlights included the Santa Cruz skate ramp competitions, live surf result viewings from the Surf Deck, the Boardmasters Beach Bar, and the Rising Tide programme of film screenings, Q&As and panels.

Looking Ahead to Boardmasters 2026
Boardmasters CEO Andrew Topham said, “The last five days have been a true celebration of creativity, community, collaboration and culture. I’m very proud of the festival that the team have produced which is testament to their hard work and year-round planning. From the waves at Fistral Beach, to the stages and incredible performances at Watergate Bay, the improvements made and renewed focus on our cultural heritage have been obvious and hugely welcomed. Fistral Beach felt like it did in years gone by. We appreciate the positive feedback we’ve received on many of the improvements, including this year’s traffic management plan.”
