Boardmasters Festival Set for Expansion to 58,000 Capacity in Cornwall
In a significant development for music and surf enthusiasts, the Boardmasters Festival is set to expand its capacity to 58,000 attendees this summer, following approval from Cornwall Council. Andrew Topham, the CEO and Festival Organiser of Boardmasters, expressed his gratitude towards Cornwall Council, local residents for their feedback, and all parties involved in the process for their support in this expansion.
The festival, renowned for its unique blend of music and surf culture, promises an unforgettable lineup this year with headliners including Stormzy, Chase & Status, and Sam Fender, alongside a host of other music and surfing talents. Topham emphasised the festival’s commitment to delivering a world-class experience in Cornwall and the effort that goes into organising such a large-scale event.
The decision to increase the festival’s capacity comes as a boon to both the local economy and the thousands of fans who flock to the event each year for its vibrant celebration of music, surfing, and community. With its scenic location and eclectic mix of performances, Boardmasters continues to solidify its position as a must-visit festival on the global calendar.
