Celebrate the Gruffalo’s 25th Birthday

Forestry England is marking the 25th anniversary of “The Gruffalo,” the award-winning picture book, with a special family activity trail. This exclusive Gruffalo Party Activity Trail will be available from Sunday to Thursday throughout the half term. For just £4, families can pick up an activity pack from the Ranger’s Hut and embark on a fun-filled adventure. The trail is packed with games and challenges as you search for missing party items to help Gruffalo celebrate in style.

New Doggy Adventure with Wallace & Gromit

Starting Monday, 28 October, Cardinham Woods is launching its brand new dog-friendly activity, “Forest Walkies with Wallace & Gromit.” Perfect for a day out with your four-legged family members, this fun trail is filled with canine challenges. Families can pick up a trail pack for £5 from the Ranger’s Hut and complete puzzles along the way, with a chance to win a dog-friendly family holiday.

Cardinham Woods is open every day of the week, with a wide range of activities for all abilities. There are walking trails, off-road cycling, play areas, a dog-friendly cafe, and scenic picnic spots. Ranger services are available from 9.30am to 3.00pm, Sunday to Thursday.
