Cockwells Modern & Classic Boatbuilding will return to the Düsseldorf Boat Show in January 2026 with an award-winning vessel on display and two further boats shortlisted for major industry awards.

The Cornwall-based company will be exhibiting the Duchy 35 at boot Düsseldorf on Stand A16 in Hall 1 between 17th and 25th January 2026.

Award-winning Duchy 35 on show

The Duchy 35 was previously crowned winner of the Wheelhouse and Cockpit Cruisers category at the Motor Boat Awards in 2018. On display in Germany will be a twin cabin model, an 11.5m classically crafted motor launch combining traditional styling with modern luxury.

The vessel features a spacious cockpit and an expansive saloon with generous seating, a drinks refrigerator and a sunroof. It is suitable for up to ten day guests or as a weekend berth for two, with the option of a single cabin layout also available.

Two boats shortlisted for 2026 Motor Boat Awards

Alongside the Duchy 35, Cockwells will also be showcasing plans and designs for two new boats nominated for the 2026 Motor Boat Awards.

The Duchy 25 has been shortlisted in the Weekenders up to 40ft category, while the Hardy 45 European has been nominated in the Passagemakers section. The awards are hosted by Motor Boat & Yachting.

All shortlisted vessels have undergone sea trials carried out by Motor Boat & Yachting experts, who assess each boat on design, ability and value for money within its market.

Duchy 25 built for versatile cruising

Described as the dynamic little sister of the Duchy Motor Launches range, the Duchy 25 combines style, sophistication and versatility. With a shorter and shallower hull than other Duchy models, it offers an open-air cockpit with space for up to six guests.

Weighing 2.5 tonnes and powered by an outboard engine, the Duchy 25 can be towed by road trailer, making it suitable for rivers, estuaries and coastal cruising.

Hardy 45 European designed for long-range performance

The Hardy 45 European is based on the classic Hardy 42 hull, known for its seakeeping capabilities. It is designed to perform across inland waterways and offshore environments, with a cruising speed of up to 28 knots.

The vessel features an aft deck helm, saloon and galley, a full beam owner’s stateroom, an aft cabin and a double forward guest cabin, providing onboard accommodation for extended journeys.

“We are delighted to be returning to boot Düsseldorf following our debut last year to explore new markets and further extend our reach. It is also an honour to have achieved not one but two nominations for the 2026 Motor Boat Awards, and to be recognised by our industry peers.

“Whilst our HQ is located on the banks of an idyllic Cornish creek, we are global in our outlook and our multilingual after-sales experts and international partners ensure a lifetime of support for our British-built boats across the world.

“A warm welcome awaits you at the Cockwells stand at boot Düsseldorf where our friendly team looks forward to sharing information about our innovative new product launches and the latest boats in build, as well as to discussing how to transform your ideas into a craft that is uniquely yours.”
