Cornish Gems Appoints Nick Wylie as New Brand Director
Marketing heavyweight joins leadership team at pivotal time
Cornish Gems, the B Corp accredited luxury holiday letting specialist, has announced the appointment of Nick Wylie as its new Brand Director, marking a key move in its plans for continued growth in the UK and internationally.
The newly created role will sit within the marketing leadership of the business and is aimed at shaping how the brand evolves as it expands towards 2026.
Decades of expertise brought to Cornwall
Nick brings over 25 years of experience across digital communications, MARTECH, brand strategy, art direction and commercial leadership. He has worked with national and international clients across a wide variety of sectors, delivering both digital and offline campaigns.
For the past 16 years, Nick has worked with some of the UK’s most recognisable lifestyle hospitality names, including Watergate Bay Hotel, Another Place Hotels, and SeaSpace – Cornwall’s first coastal aparthotel, which launched last year and has already established itself as a hybrid hospitality offering.

Nick and Michelle on what’s next for the brand
Speaking about the appointment, Managing Director Michelle Baillie said:
“We’re delighted to have Nick join the team. He brings a brilliant mix of creativity, experience and energy that really aligns with where we’re heading as a business. This is an exciting chapter for Cornish Gems with UK and international growth plans in place for 2026 and Nick’s role will be key in shaping how our brand continues to evolve. Most importantly, he shares our passion for curating memorable guest experiences, which sits at the heart of everything we do.”
Nick Wylie added:
“I’m excited to join the leadership team at Cornish Gems. At a time of unprecedented hospitality headwinds, Cornish Gems is outperforming the market and continues to capitalise on its independent spirit and B Corp values. Over the short period leading to 2026, we will continue to innovate in the luxury self-catering space and develop new disruptive offerings that look to drive the brand forward. We will be building momentum for a transformational year in 2026 and I’m looking forward to the journey and challenges ahead. Cornish Gems’ portfolio is growing with stunning new venues coming online. The brand’s approach to interior design is truly unique. Its innovation in the market really makes Cornish Gems a brand to watch.”
