Cornwall Marine Network Group, in collaboration with Cornwall Marine Academy CIC and the Children’s Sailing Trust, announces an upcoming event titled “Waves of Progress: Driving an Inclusive Workplace”.
This gathering is scheduled to take place at the Children’s Sailing Trust premises located near Helston at Trevassack Lake, from 9:00 to 13:30 on Thursday, 21st March.
The event is designed to spotlight the significant benefits of creating an inclusive work environment, specifically catering to the needs of individuals with physical disabilities and neurodiverse employees. The aim is to demonstrate the positive outcomes such inclusivity can bring to the workforce as well as the wider community.
Attendees of the event can look forward to an optional tour of the accessible watersports centre, an opportunity for an organised group swim, and time for networking. The networking session will be accompanied by refreshments and will be held in the main centre with views of the lake.
Participation in “Waves of Progress: Driving an Inclusive Workplace” is open to all, with free entry for delegates. Those interested in attending can secure their tickets through the Eventbrite link.
For additional information or to communicate any access requirements, potential attendees are encouraged to reach out to the Cornwall Marine Network team via email at marketing@cornwallmarine.net or by calling 01326 211382.
This event is supported through funding from The Local Skills Improvement Fund (LSIF), with Cornwall Marine Network serving as a delivery partner. This collaboration underscores the commitment to enhancing workplace inclusivity and accessibility within the marine industry and beyond.
