Falmouth Event Brings Together Cornwall’s Business and Education Leaders

The Cornwall College Group recently held a Senior Executives’ Forum (SEF) Networking Event at the Greenbank Hotel in Falmouth, attracting key figures from the region’s business and education sectors for a morning of engaging discussions. Hosted by Rob Bosworth, Principal and CEO of The Cornwall College Group, the forum aimed to explore collaboration opportunities between education and local industries, promoting growth and innovation within Cornwall.

Dynamic Discussion and Keynote Speaker

Rob opened the session, inviting discussion from a distinguished group of participants, including guest speaker Professor Emma Hunt, Vice Chancellor and CEO of Falmouth University. Laura Whyte from Whyfield and the Cornwall Chamber of Commerce chaired the event, spotlighting the importance of cross-sector cooperation for the development of Cornwall’s economy and talent.

Reflecting on the event, Rob said, “This forum showcased the power of collaboration in driving innovation and growth within Cornwall. By working together, we can create more opportunities for local businesses and our communities, especially in preparing the next generation of talent.”

The SEF Networking Event saw representation from a broad array of industries, including healthcare, technology, construction, and higher education. Notable attendees included Cornwall Chamber of Commerce, iCareiMove Wellbeing Providers, King’s Service Centre, Buzz Interactive, Towergate Insurance, and Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. Other organisations included Cornwall Gateway, A&P Group Limited, Coodes, Active Cornwall, and Cornish Lithium Plc, among others. This diversity of participants underscored the event’s objective of fostering dialogue between sectors essential to Cornwall’s development.
