Camborne Shopper Wins £50 in Popular Loyalty Card Scheme
Lillian Hammacott, a dedicated resident of Camborne, has demonstrated her commitment to shopping locally by using her Camborne loyalty card up to three times a week. Her efforts have paid off as she recently won £50 in the monthly loyalty card draw.
“If we can buy it in Camborne, we do,” said Lillian. “We believe in shopping locally and supporting local businesses.”
A Milestone for the Loyalty Card
The Camborne loyalty card scheme, launched by BID Camborne two years ago, is celebrating its second anniversary. The programme encourages shoppers to collect stamps from participating businesses, with a minimum spend of £2 required per transaction. Once ten stamps are collected on a card, it is entered into a monthly draw to win prizes of £100, £75, and £50. Individuals can submit multiple stamped cards to increase their chances of winning.
A Growing Community of Supporters
Since its introduction in 2022, the loyalty card scheme has recorded 30,000 card transactions. More than 100 people now enter the draw each month, with over 2500 entrants to date.
BID Camborne Manager, Anna Pascoe, remarked, “The loyalty card is well used and makes a difference. We’re a close community in Camborne, and residents like Lillian are keen to support their local economy as much as possible. The card is an extra incentive to shop in the high street and we’re delighted it’s working so well.”
How to Participate
