Camborne Sixth Form Students Celebrate Outstanding A Level Results
Students at Camborne Science & International Academy (CSIA) were celebrating this morning, Thursday 14th August, as they collected their A Level results – with a remarkable 70% achieving A* to B grades and 39% securing an A* or A.
Exceptional Results Across the Board
The academy’s specialist STEM provision, Cornwall School of Maths and Science, saw 70% of students achieve A* to A grades, far above the national average of 28% for A* to A and 55% for A* to B.
The Sixth Form at CSIA, currently Cornwall’s only Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ Sixth Form, welcomes students from its own school and from across the county. This year, 100% of those applying for veterinary medicine achieved their grades, including Alfie B and Amelia G, who will both take their place at the Royal Veterinary College, London.
Alfie said:
“Throughout my time in Sixth Form I felt really cared for and supported. I was given the best opportunities to succeed and the support that I was given by Mrs Haase on the Vets Pathway was invaluable. I worked hard and focused on my future dream to make myself proud. I can’t wait.”
