Cars Destroyed in Camborne: Police Appeal After Suspected Arson

Police are appealing for information after two cars were destroyed in a suspected arson attack in Camborne.

Fire in the Early Hours

The incident happened in St Meriadoc Road at around 3.30am on Thursday 20th November. Police were called to the scene by the fire service, which had been tackling the blaze.

A man in his 50s has been arrested on suspicion of arson. He has been released on police bail while enquiries continue.

Officers Ask for CCTV and Witnesses

Police Constable Emily Wood said: “We are appealing to residents in neighbouring areas for any CCTV or doorbell footage during the hours of 2.30am and 4.30am on Thursday 20 November that could help us with our enquiries.

“If you witnessed, heard, or have any footage showing, any activity in the area during these hours that may assist our investigation, please get in touch.

“We would also be interested in hearing from members of the public in the area who may have found discarded items of clothing or equipment in their gardens on 20 November.”
