Public Invited to Share Ideas for New Connexion Street Artwork in Camborne

People in Camborne are being asked to share their thoughts on fresh artwork ideas for New Connexion Street, with the aim of brightening up the area and adding more visual appeal.

The consultation is managed by Camborne’s Business Improvement District (BID) team and funded by Camborne Renew, one of ten Camborne Town Deal projects.

Discovery Session Planned

Local artist Cosmic will be leading the latest discovery session on Monday 22nd September from 5.30pm to 6.30pm at the Tyacks Hotel. Everyone is welcome to attend, with more discussions also planned involving organisations, local groups and schools.

Earlier this year, a BID Camborne stall at Trevithick Day in April invited visitors to share their ideas for artwork.

Building on Previous Work

BID Camborne Manager Anna Pascoe said:

“We’re excited to be expanding on what we’ve already done, and are doing, to improve the town centre through Project A-Void, another Camborne Town Deal scheme.

That involved awarding capital grants to upgrade local business premises, commissioning street art, creating town maps and installing new signage. Now we’re launching our New Ideas for New Connexion Street consultations which will, I’m sure, result in more creativity.

I’m really looking forward to seeing the new artwork when it gets installed this side of Christmas.”
