Free family event returns Saturday 7th June with music, food and fun for all ages

Camborne Green Fest is back this weekend, promising a day of live music, entertainment and family-friendly activities in the award-winning Camborne Recreation Ground.

Hosted by Camborne Town Council, the free event will run from 11am to 5pm on Saturday 7th June and is part of the national Great Big Green Week, a UK-wide celebration of environmental action.

Live music and festival favourites

Now in its third year, Green Fest has built a strong reputation for its lively atmosphere and community focus. Organisers say they’re building on the success of previous years with another packed line-up, including headline act 3 Daft Monkeys.

Other acts confirmed for the main stage include:

  • Three Minute Warning

  • Guilty Pleasures

  • Andy ‘The Crooner’ Marshall, performing vintage swing classics at lunchtime

Last year’s festival featured sets from local favourites like Cat Florence, Freshly Squeezed, Ex Presidents, Kid Ego and Bailey Tomkinson & The Locals.

What else is on?

As well as music, this year’s Green Fest will host:

  • Over 15 stalls run by local charities and environmental organisations

  • Kids’ activities and a top-rated playground

  • Festival food and non-alcoholic drinks

  • A roaming performer called ‘Detritus of the Deep’

Visitors are encouraged to bring a blanket, relax on the grass, or head to the front and dance. The festival is designed to be welcoming to all ages.

Getting there

The organisers are encouraging visitors to come on foot or by public transport, to support the event’s sustainability goals.

Camborne Recreation Ground is located on Crane Road (TR14 7AH). It’s:

  • A 15-minute walk from Camborne Railway Station

  • An 8-minute walk from the College Street bus stop

  • There is limited parking available at Camborne Rugby Club on Cranberry Road
