Cornwall Hedgehog Rescue Centre Appeals for Urgent Supplies
20 Hedgehogs in Four Days: Cornwall Rescue Centre Overwhelmed
Surge in Admissions
Prickles and Paws Hedgehog Rescue Centre, located in Cubert, Cornwall, has made an urgent appeal for assistance following a dramatic surge in admissions. The centre, which has already taken in 187 hedgehogs this year, saw 20 new arrivals in just four days. This influx, combined with a rise in injury cases, is putting significant pressure on the centre’s resources.
Supplies Running Low
The increased demand has led to a rapid depletion of essential supplies. The rescue centre is particularly in need of blue roll, syringes, and Oralade. To address this shortage, Prickles and Paws has created an Amazon wishlist with their current needs. However, the organisation has advised that due to issues with some wishlist items, donors may need to manually enter the centre’s address during checkout: Prickles and Paws, 55 Chynowen Parc, Cubert, Cornwall TR8 5HD.
How to Help
For those who are local to the rescue centre, Prickles and Paws has a network of donation drop-off points, which can be found on the donate page of their website. The centre has expressed immense gratitude for any contributions that can help them care for the hedgehogs in their care.
Community Support
The appeal underscores the importance of community support for local wildlife rescue centres, especially during periods of high demand.
