Jarrard Harrison and team hit the road in lifeboat-themed limo to support RNLI

Jarrard Harrison, along with a group of friends and colleagues, has set off on a unique fundraising journey today, travelling from Cornwall to Split, Croatia, in support of the St Ives and Penlee lifeboat stations. The charity drive, aptly named ‘Split or Bust’, will run from 21st to 27th September 2024, with daily updates shared on the St Ives Signs Instagram page and Jarrard Harrison’s Facebook page.

Lifeboat-Inspired Limo Hits the Road

To draw attention to their cause, the team has wrapped a limousine to resemble an RNLI lifeboat, featuring the charity’s iconic colours. Photos of the eye-catching vehicle will be shared throughout the journey on social media. The limousine was recently unveiled at the RNLI’s Penlee Lifeboat Station, where Ryan and Rob Eddy joined Jarrard for a send-off.

Supporting Lifesavers Across the UK and Ireland

The funds raised from this journey will go towards supporting the vital work of the RNLI, which includes lifeboat crews who provide 24-hour search and rescue services around the UK and Ireland, lifeguards who keep watch on 240 of the busiest beaches, and safety teams who educate the public to prevent accidents before they happen.

Jarrard expressed the importance of the cause, saying, “RNLI lifesavers are our lifeline. They’re the lifeboat crews who provide 24-hour search and rescue right around the UK and Ireland. The lifeguards keeping watch on 240 of the busiest beaches in the UK and Channel Islands. And the RNLI safety teams and educators working tirelessly to stop people getting into trouble in the first place.”

How to Support the ‘Split or Bust’ Team

You can follow the team’s progress on the St Ives Signs Instagram page and Jarrard Harrison’s Facebook page, where regular updates and photos from the journey will be posted. There is also an event page on Facebook providing more information about the fundraiser.

For those looking to contribute to this fantastic cause, donations can be made via their JustGiving page. Every penny raised will go directly to supporting the lifesaving work of the RNLI, ensuring that they can continue to protect lives at sea.

The ‘Split or Bust’ team is determined to make a significant impact and hopes that their journey will inspire others to support the brave men and women of the RNLI.
