Daredevil Fundraiser: Nick Takes on 8,000 ft Sky Dive for Mental Health Support
Nick, a trained facilitator at Sunrise Cornwall CIC, is preparing for a high-adrenaline challenge to support mental health services in Cornwall. On Sunday 18th May, he will take on an 8,000 ft, 120 mph skydive over Perranporth to raise essential funds for the organisation.
Supporting Those Affected by Suicide
Sunrise Cornwall CIC provides free support to adults in Cornwall who have been affected by suicide. The organisation creates safe spaces where people can meet, talk, and share – as little or as much as they feel comfortable – through music, art, and wellbeing workshops.
Their sessions are open to friends, family members, partners, colleagues, and anyone impacted by suicide, offering a welcoming and supportive environment during an incredibly difficult time. Events are run by industry experts in music, art, and wellbeing, alongside trained facilitators like Nick, who have lived experience of losing someone to suicide.
Nick’s Ongoing Commitment to the Cause
This isn’t Nick’s first time stepping up for Sunrise. Last year, he took on Ben Nevis alongside his son Tobias and wife Amanda, raising funds to help the organisation continue its work. Now, he’s taking things to new heights – literally – with this daring skydiving challenge.
Sunrise Cornwall CIC has highlighted the vital role fundraising plays in their work. The money raised from Nick’s skydive will help them continue offering free sessions and train more facilitators to support those in need.
Show Your Support
Sunrise Cornwall CIC will be there to watch Nick take the leap on 18th May. Anyone wishing to support Nick’s challenge can do so by donating or sharing his fundraiser.
