Ever Wondered How to Make a Dog’s Life Better? This Project Might Be the Answer!
St Francis Dogs Home Needs You This Friday!
Meeting at 4pm for Volunteers to Create a Sensory Garden
St Francis Dogs Home is inviting volunteers to help create a sensory garden for the dogs in its care. The meeting will take place this Friday at 4pm at St Francis Dogs Home, where those interested can learn more about the plans.
A Garden Designed for Confidence and Fun
Ruth, the behaviourist at St Francis Dogs Home, is leading the project, which aims to provide a space that helps dogs build confidence and enjoy new experiences. The garden will feature upcycled beach-related items such as buoys, heavy rope, old small boats, and surfboards to create a fun and engaging area.
Who Can Get Involved?
The home is looking for volunteers with skills in gardening, painting, fencing, woodwork, and digging, as well as those with knowledge of suitable plants and herbs. Creativity is also encouraged! If you’re not handy in the garden, they are also looking for volunteers to make cups of tea to keep the team motivated.
A private Facebook group will be set up to keep everyone involved in the project connected.
How to Help If You Can’t Attend
For those who would like to help but can’t make the meeting, St Francis Dogs Home asks that you send them a private message on their Facebook page, including your full name, contact number, and how you would like to contribute.
If you’re passionate about helping rescue dogs and want to get involved, head down to St Francis Dogs Home this Friday at 4pm or get in touch via Facebook.
