Hedgehog Rescue Calls for Help After Record-Breaking October

Prickles and Paws Hedgehog Rescue is asking for help to restock supplies after recording its busiest October yet, admitting 210 hedgehogs — the second highest number in its history.

Supplies Running Low

The team described October as a whirlwind of rescues, treatments and prickly patients, leaving their shelves depleted. As November begins, they say supplies are running low on several essentials needed for daily care.

Items they are appealing for include:

• Puppy pads

• 1ml syringes

• Oralade

• Tinned food

• Kitten and gastro biscuits

• Gloves (as there are currently many ringworm cases)
