Penryn College Steps Up Sustainability Drive with New Recycling Stations
Donation supports student-led environmental action
Penryn College is continuing its push for a greener future with the addition of three new recycling stations, donated by SUEZ Recycling and Recovery UK.
The new stations are part of the school’s wider efforts to boost recycling and cut down on litter across the site. They also support the work being led by the Student Council Sustainability Champions, who are encouraging the school community to play their part in protecting the planet.
“Sustainability is our future”
Sally Price, Business Manager at Penryn College, praised the student-led efforts and the backing from SUEZ:
“Sustainability is our future and it is wonderful to see our Student Council Sustainability Champions leading the way for the school.
“We have been incredibly well supported by SUEZ with their donation of the three recycling stations, which we are sure will help our students and staff recycle more.”
SUEZ proud to support the school’s journey
Julie Mazzoni, Field Sales Executive for SUEZ, said:
“We’re delighted to be able to provide Penryn College with these recycling stations and are really looking forward to seeing an increase in the recycling rates over the coming months.
“These small changes can have a huge impact on the environment.”
Julie added:
“Working with our customers and supporting them on their sustainability journey is what we do best.”
The recycling stations are already in place and form part of Penryn College’s long-term goal to embed sustainability into everyday school life.
