Want to Take Action on Climate Change? Free Course in Cornwall Shows You How

Cornwall residents can now learn practical ways to take action on climate change through a fully funded Carbon Literacy Training course at Truro and Penwith College.

Learn to Live and Work More Sustainably

The course will take place at Tregye Road, Carnon Downs (TR3 6JH), on 12th November and 26th November 2025, running from 9am to 1pm on both days. It is open to anyone in Cornwall who wants to live more sustainably or develop their professional sustainability skills.

Participants will explore the science behind climate change, the link between social equity and climate change, and learn practical strategies for taking and communicating climate action.

Delivered by expert trainers, the sessions include interactive activities and provide real-world tools to help reduce personal and professional carbon footprints. Everyone completing the programme will receive a certificate recognising their achievement.

Supported by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund

This training is offered through The Future is Green project, which is part-funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. Cornwall Council acts as the lead authority responsible for monitoring projects funded through the programme across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

The four-hour course is being held in person at the college’s Tregye Campus.
