Cornwall Women Urged to Step Forward for TEDxPorthtowan 2026

Applications are opening soon for TEDxPorthtowanWomen, a 2026 event dedicated to celebrating and amplifying women’s voices across Cornwall.

Breaking the Mould: Every Generation Empowered

Set to take place on International Women’s Day, Sunday 8th March 2026, at Mount Pleasant Eco Park, the event’s theme will be Breaking the Mould: Every Generation Empowered.

The organisers are searching for 10 speakers to deliver 15–18 minute talks about a big idea or personal experience as a woman in Cornwall. The aim is to share wisdom and inspire future generations to create a lasting legacy of change.

A Platform for Women Across Generations

Anna Lempriere, the TEDx licence holder, said:
“Through TEDxPorthtowanWomen, we want to celebrate the strength, achievements and potential of women across every generation in Cornwall.

“We want to create a platform for women from all walks of life to be seen. We are interested in hearing from those already known, hidden women, busy women, women out there doing their thing with huge amounts of wisdom we could benefit from learning from.

“Our mission is to create a vibrant platform of learning, led and upheld by women, where voices across generations and cultures can be heard, ideas and stories can be shared and collective wisdom can flourish.”

Applications open on Friday 7th November 2025 at https://tedxporthtowanwomen.co.uk/ and will close on Monday 1st December 2025.

All speakers must be living in Cornwall and self-identify as a woman.
