Could Your Cornwall Community Project Get Funding? Applications Now Open
Community groups across Cornwall are being encouraged to apply for new grant funding, as the Prime Foundation opens its doors to local applications.
The funding, which is available now until 31st July 2025, is aimed at supporting projects that advance education outside the classroom, promote good physical and mental health, or improve social wellbeing through recreation.
Backed by Health and Care Developer
The Prime Foundation is funded by Prime plc, a leading UK-based health and care property developer. The company sets up the fund in areas where it has been involved in developing health and care facilities. In Cornwall, Prime is currently working with Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust to create new accommodation for key workers in Truro.
Leighton Chumbley, Prime Foundation Trustee, said:
“We are delighted to open applications for funding in Cornwall. Each time we announce funding in an area, we are reminded just how many people are working every day to serve their community and we’re confident Cornwall will be no exception. We look forward to hearing from local groups to see how we can help support their great initiatives and ideas.”
Real Impact in Other Areas
Last year, the Foundation supported several projects in Worcestershire, including:
-
Funding for materials for an art therapy group supporting adults with autism
-
Woodworking tools for a social enterprise based in a day centre
-
Outdoor play equipment for children with special education needs and/or disabilities
Stacey Hazleton, Finance and Admin Assistant at Vale of Evesham School, said:
“Children in our early years’ classes at Vale of Evesham School (a generic all age special school) are learning through play with the fantastic new outdoor play equipment which was funded thanks to the Prime Foundation. Children’s motor skills, role play, and peer interaction have been met with a variety of sensory, balance and stimulating apparatus which has resulted in a lot of happy smiling learners.”
