Monthly Chair Yoga Sessions at Redruth Oddfellows Hall Promote Wellbeing and Social Connection

Published On: 25 July 2025Last Updated: 25 July 2025By

A regular chair yoga session at the Oddfellows Hall in Redruth is giving people across Cornwall the chance to improve their wellbeing while forming new friendships.

Movement, Mindfulness and Community

Held monthly, the chair yoga classes are designed to be accessible to all, blending gentle movement with mindfulness in a supportive environment. Led by a qualified and experienced instructor, who has previously delivered sessions for the NHS and other community groups, each class offers guided exercises focused on flexibility, strength and relaxation.

No prior experience of yoga is required, and the chair-based format means participants of all physical abilities can take part.

Free for Members, Open to All

These classes are completely free to members of the Oddfellows, a friendly society that supports community connection, wellbeing and friendship. Non-members are welcome to attend for a small fee, with all proceeds going to the Oddfellows charity fund. This fund supports various local causes, helping to make a real difference in the community.

Due to limited space, non-members must book in advance by contacting local Secretary Peter English at peter.english@oddfellows.co.uk or by calling 01209 200810.
