Oddfellows Support Kernow Pétanque with New Team Strip

Cornwall’s Oddfellows, one of the UK’s oldest and largest friendly societies, has stepped in to support Kernow Pétanque with smart new logoed shirts and jackets for the 17-strong team.

The players marked the occasion with a celebratory match, proudly wearing their new kit provided through the Oddfellows’ backing.

Ready for Weston-Super-Mare

Kernow Pétanque is made up of four squads of four players and a team manager. The club is now preparing to compete at the Inter-Regional Championships in Weston-Super-Mare, where more than 200 teams and around 700 players will take part.

Tina English, Plymouth and Truro Oddfellows Provincial Grand Master, said:

“At the Oddfellows, we believe in encouraging friendship, fun, and wellbeing at every stage of life. Supporting Kernow Pétanque where people meet, play and connect fits perfectly with our values. It’s wonderful to see the community coming together and we’re proud to play a part in making that happen.”

A Boost for the Club

Andy Rose, President of Kernow Pétanque, added:

“This new team strip is a fantastic boost for our club and for the wider community. We’re very grateful to the Oddfellows for their support, which has helped make this possible. Our members are excited to welcome more people to try the sport and enjoy the friendly atmosphere that pétanque is all about. The kit looks extremely smart and will really showcase our team at future events.”

The Oddfellows regularly support grassroots efforts across the UK, helping communities to build friendships, socialise and stay active.
