In a significant development, Cormac has successfully secured placements on two lots of the Environment Agency’s new Asset Operation and Maintenance Framework, marking a crucial step in their ongoing collaboration with the agency.

This achievement underscores Cormac’s commitment to delivering high-quality infrastructure and environmental services across the South West region.

The Framework represents a national procurement initiative aimed at engaging delivery partners to provide regional solutions for the Environment Agency. Cormac’s inclusion in this framework is a testament to their proven track record and expertise in the field, further strengthening their position as a leading service provider in environmental management and civil engineering projects.

Under the terms of the Framework, Cormac will undertake responsibilities in two specific areas:

  1. Lot One: Civil Engineering Maintain & Construct (<£1m), which will be spearheaded by Mark and the Infrastructure business. This lot focuses on civil engineering projects valued at less than £1 million, encompassing a range of maintenance and construction activities essential for sustaining the region’s infrastructure resilience.
  2. Lot Three: Vegetation Management and Landscape and Habitat Creation, to be managed by Andy and his team. This lot aims at vegetation management along with the creation and restoration of landscapes and habitats, leveraging the team’s extensive experience from their involvement in the previous Environment Agency framework.

The successful bid is a reflection of the dedicated efforts of Cormac’s team, led by the Bid team, who navigated through a demanding three-month procurement process to secure these placements. This accomplishment not only highlights the company’s expertise in civil engineering and environmental management but also their ability to meet the rigorous demands of a national framework.

Cormac’s involvement in these lots will enable them to continue contributing significantly to the South West’s environmental sustainability and infrastructure development. It also reaffirms their commitment to excellence and their capability to deliver complex projects that meet the Environment Agency’s objectives.

This partnership with the Environment Agency is poised to yield positive outcomes for regional infrastructure and environmental conservation, reflecting both entities’ dedication to fostering sustainable development and resilience in the face of evolving challenges.
