Cornwall Airport Newquay Reports Over 40,000 Passengers in May
Over 40,000 passengers passed through Cornwall Airport Newquay last month
Cornwall Airport Newquay has revealed its latest passenger numbers, with a total of 40,355 people flying from the airport in May. That’s alongside 1,893 air traffic movements, as the airport’s newly relocated departure doors got plenty of use under sunny skies.
Manchester flights soar to nearly 90% full
Manchester proved to be a popular choice with passengers, with load factors soaring to nearly 90% on that route. The figures come as the airport also celebrated a busy internal campaign during AirportsUK Health & Safety Week, which saw more than 40 staff events.
Staff get involved in Health & Safety Week
From tackling slips, trips and falls, to focusing on ground movements and reducing stress, the airport’s in-house team took part in everything from Rocket Yoga in the Spaceport Cornwall Hangar to Pushback challenges, all collecting stamps to be in with a chance to win prizes donated by local businesses and suppliers.
Faro returns as destination of the month
Cornwall Airport Newquay has also named Faro as its destination of the month, celebrating its return to the 2025 summer schedule. The Ryanair route now flies every Monday, Wednesday and Sunday, offering an easy link to Portugal’s Algarve region.
