Cornwall Airport Newquay Reports Strong Passenger Growth in September

Cornwall Airport Newquay has revealed that September saw a major uplift across the board, with more passengers, more flights and a busier airfield than ever.

Passenger Numbers Soar

According to the airport, 43,654 passengers passed through Cornwall Airport Newquay during September, marking a strong post-summer performance. The airport also recorded 1,973 air traffic movements, showing a clear rise in commercial and general aviation activity.

The team described the month as one where things “really took off”, with #TeamNQY kept busy well beyond the main summer season.

Málaga Named Destination of the Month

Málaga was crowned the airport’s Destination of the Month, boasting a 93% load factor. The route continues to perform strongly, with Ryanair offering flights all year round for those looking to escape to sunnier climes.

Travellers can “#FlyProperLocal” to Spain directly from Cornwall Airport Newquay, enjoying easy access to winter sun without the need to travel far.

Recognition for Friendly Service

Adding to the celebrations, Cornwall Airport Newquay has also been named the UK’s friendliest airport, achieving the number one spot in the rankings.
