Dublin Named January’s Top Destination from Cornwall Airport Newquay
Cornwall Airport Newquay has reported a steady flow of passengers through the terminal at the start of 2026, despite a wet January.
Cornwall airport team said passenger numbers held up well as the new year got underway, with one destination standing out above the rest.
Dublin tops the list
Dublin was named destination of the month for January, with flights showing an impressive load factor.
Ryanair continues to operate year round services from Newquay to Dublin, keeping the route available throughout the seasons.
From Sunday 29th March, passengers will also have a second option, with Aer Lingus returning to the route. This will give travellers two different ways to fly to Ireland’s capital from Cornwall.
Holiday planning season
January is traditionally a busy time for booking holidays, and the airport says many people were clearly thinking about getting away after the weather at the start of the year.
For those who have not yet booked a 2026 trip, Cornwall Airport Newquay says it offers everything needed to start planning from a local departure point.
More destination ideas can be found on the airport’s website, with inspiration available on their news and blog pages.
