Passenger Numbers Soar at Cornwall Airport Newquay – But Which Destination Took the Top Spot?
Cornwall Airport Newquay has released its April 2025 figures, and it was a busy month as summer operations started to build.
Over 34,000 Passengers in April
According to the airport, 34,022 passengers passed through the terminal last month, supported by 2,355 air traffic movements. The team said they were “in full swing as the schedule ramped up in preparation for summer 2025.”
Routes Return for the Season
April also saw the return of four seasonal routes:
-
London Southend with Eastern Airways
-
Dusseldorf with Eurowings
-
Dublin with Aer Lingus
-
Zurich with Edelweiss
The airport welcomed the return of each, marking the start of the busy travel season.
High Demand for Malaga – But Newcastle Was the Star
Although the load factor for Malaga (AGP) hit 89%, it was Newcastle (NCL) that claimed the title of destination of the month.
Travellers still have a chance to win a pair of return tickets from Cornwall Airport Newquay to Newcastle with Loganair. The competition closes on Wednesday 14th May 2025, and you can enter here.
For anyone still undecided about visiting the North East, the airport has shared a blog exploring its hidden gems and coastal adventures, available at https://shorturl.at/rJJbv
