Unprecedented Academic Success at Cornwall College: Record-Breaking Year for Students
Students at The Cornwall College Group (TCCG) are celebrating an extraordinary year, as the institution reports its best academic results in years. The Group, which includes campuses at Bicton College, as well as University Centres in Newquay and at the Eden Project, has seen impressive achievements across a wide range of disciplines.
Perfect Pass Rates Across Multiple Courses
In a standout performance, 39 of TCCG’s Level 3 courses recorded a perfect pass rate, a testament to the hard work and dedication of both students and staff. Among the courses that achieved this milestone were Agriculture, Animal Management, Art & Design, Engineering Technologies, Equine Studies, Esports, Professional Cookery, Sport, and Uniformed Services.
Rob Bosworth, Principal and Chief Executive of The Cornwall College Group, expressed his pride in the outstanding results. “These fantastic results across so many subjects reflect not just our incredible students, but also the years of dedication and commitment of our amazing staff. It shows that the students right across the group are receiving the very best education and skills training in the country,” he said.
Investment in the Future
This success comes at a time of significant investment in the College. Patrick Newberry, Chair of Governors, highlighted that the College is set to receive approximately £90 million in investment across its campuses. This funding will support the creation of new and improved facilities, including the first carbon-neutral college in St Austell, ensuring that students continue to have access to state-of-the-art resources and top-quality education.
“The Board would like to add their congratulations to the students and staff. We are deeply committed to investing in new and improved facilities for all our students. In addition to the creation of the first carbon-neutral college in St Austell, the investment will also improve facilities across all campuses, providing state-of-the-art resources and ensuring students have access to top-quality education and training opportunities, further supporting the local community and economy,” Patrick said.
Next Steps for Prospective Students
With such strong results and ongoing investment in facilities, The Cornwall College Group is encouraging prospective students to consider their next steps in education or career progression. Rob Bosworth urged those interested to visit the Cornwall College website for more information, apply for courses starting this September, or attend one of the College’s advice sessions.
For those looking to embark on a new educational journey or advance in their careers, TCCG’s latest achievements highlight the Group’s commitment to providing exceptional education and training, firmly positioning itself as a leader in the sector.
