Newquay Pride Triumphed Despite Wet Weather: Crowds Celebrated with Colour and Music
Even the heavy showers couldn’t keep Newquay’s vibrant Pride celebration from shining brightly. Enthusiastic participants braved the wet weather to march the Pride flag through the town’s streets, demonstrating their unwavering support and unity.
A Grand Opening at Killacourt
As the parade concluded at the picturesque Killacourt, the skies began to clear. The event was officially opened by Drew Creek, Mayor of Newquay, and Sam Galsworthy, the High Sheriff of Cornwall. Their presence highlighted the importance and recognition of the event within the local community.

Entertainment and Activities Galore
The afternoon was packed with entertainment, featuring performances from a variety of talented artists. The line-up included Them Vandalz, Roberta Calamari, Alysha Vine, Vocal Presence, Jak Lewis, Rhianna Rocket, and Still Dizzy. The crowd enjoyed the diverse music and performances, creating a lively and inclusive atmosphere.
In addition to the performances, the event was supported by numerous stalls from local businesses and organisations, adding to the festive and community-centric feel of the day.
Looking Forward to Bude Pride
With Newquay Pride wrapped up successfully, the excitement now turns to Bude Pride, scheduled for Saturday, 27th July. The organisers are eager to see similar support and enthusiasm in Bude.
