Tragedy on A30: Police Appeal for Witnesses After Fatal Collision Near Launceston
Emergency Response to A30 Collision
Police are appealing for witnesses after a tragic collision on the A30 near Launceston resulted in the death of a woman in her 80s. The incident, which occurred at the Plusha junction, involved two vehicles and took place at approximately 8:25 a.m. on Thursday, 7th November. Officers from local patrol teams, supported by the Alliance Roads Policing Team, responded swiftly alongside colleagues from the ambulance and fire services.
Driver Sadly Dies at Scene
Despite the quick response from emergency services, the driver of one of the vehicles was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Police have informed her next of kin of the tragic news. An investigation is now underway to determine the circumstances that led to this fatal collision.
Appeal for Dash-Cam Footage and Information
The police have expressed gratitude to members of the public who assisted at the scene and spoke to officers. Authorities are now urging anyone with information or dash-cam footage that could aid the investigation to come forward.
