Despite an initial sighting, the first two days passed with no news of her whereabouts, raising concerns for her safety. The situation took a hopeful turn on the third day when Cornwall Search Dogs, responding to a call from DogLost Cornwall UK, employed a scent article of Dior’s bedding to track her path along a coastal path notorious for its hidden dangers, including a sheer drop into the ocean.

The search team’s persistence paid off when Search Dog Indy detected a trail leading back towards the village, through an overgrown area where Labrador-like paw prints were discovered. This vital clue narrowed the search to three areas within the village, though Dior remained elusive. It was not until the fourth day that Dior was spotted at a nearby farm, though still beyond reach.

For the next three days, Dior’s escapades continued as she playfully interacted with local dogs, scavenged for food, and skillfully avoided capture, embodying a spirit of adventure and resilience. The turning point came on the seventh day, thanks to a carefully set trap by Dog Lost Cornwall, leading to Dior’s long-awaited rescue and reunion with her family.
